
About Dr. Kaitlin Peace
Dr. Kaitlin Peace, MD is a board-certified general surgeon with a patient-centered approach and a wide range of surgical expertise. She completed her medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine and began her surgical training in 2014 through the U.S. Air Force, completing her general surgery residency at San Antonio Military Medical Center in 2020.
Following residency, Dr. Peace served as a general surgeon and the General Surgery Medical Director at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, from 2020 to 2025. During this time, she was known for her leadership, commitment to excellence, and compassionate care. She was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 2024.
Dr. Peace offers a full spectrum of general surgical care, including hernia repairs, gallbladder, breast and colon surgeries, endoscopy and colonoscopy. She is experienced in robotic, laparoscopic, and traditional open surgical techniques, allowing her to tailor care to each patient’s unique needs and preferences.
Outside the operating room, Dr. Peace enjoys reading, knitting, spinning, and spending time outdoors with her husband and two dogs. She brings the same thoughtfulness and focus to her medical practice as she does to her hobbies and she believes in building strong, trusting relationships with her patients from the first consultation to full recovery.
Dr. Peace is excited to join the community and is looking forward to serving the residents of the Matanuska-Susitna Valley with compassionate, high-quality surgical care.
